About this image: This is Allt Coire Meannarclach in Glen Coe (Allt is the Gaelic for Burn) which tumbles down the Coire Meannarclach mountain at the eastern end of the Glen and joins the Glen Coe River just north of the A82. It was made with a 5"x4" Bulldog view camera which I built from a kit in 2018. The negative was scanned with an Epson V800 Photo Scanner.

Welcome to my website. Having become disillusioned with social media, much of which seems to be driven by advertising at the cost of quality and freedom, I have decided to wrest back control and set up my own site - with NO ADS! However, I am on Instagram - for now at least. I want to share my interests; namely travel, sailing historic vessels and book making. All of these interests generate and use a lot of photography which is my other interest. I also want to share the skills I've learned, and some images, from many years of film photography. In addition, I have an interest in renovating a small collection of film cameras that I still use from time to time. This site is public. Please visit, chat if you wish and leave comments or send emails. I AM NOT SELLING ANYTHING, I'm looking to build a small community where we can swap stories and offer advice. After 60 years as an amateur, I'm still learning!
My Site is currently being re-designed. I'm working hard to get it finished.
👨🏻💻 Please bear with me. 🙏🏻
